Chris Merritt graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a computer science degree in 2002 and has spent his career focusing on ways to make business processes more efficient and more secure. The vast majority of his career has been servicing the Department of Defense community through various consulting positions where he was continuously regarded as an exemplary leader and performer. Throughout his career, he has continually demonstrated his desire to see his clients succeed in all of their endeavors.
In 2004, Chris began focusing his career on the information security arena through various certification and accreditation contracts where his balanced technology background and attention to detail created relationships with customers that are still flourishing today. He is regarded as an expert in information security and has numerous credentials to support this designation to include Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Computer Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and in 2007, he graduated from the Masters of Science in Information Assurance (MSIA) Program from Norwich University, a National Security Agency Center of Excellence.
Chris’ leadership skills coupled with the consistent desire to proliferate efficiency make him an effective member of any team. He never accepts ‘as is’ and ‘good enough’ and is always looking for ways (usually via automation) to improve processes and procedures of his clients – especially in the information assurance arena.
