Employee Recognition
Employee recognition speaks volumes to the continued success of any agency or organization. Letting an employee know he or she is doing a good job not only makes that employee feel appreciated, but it also helps to reinforce behavior that we, as managers, would like to see on a consistent basis. We truly believe the Company will attain continued success if we take employee recognition seriously.
Performance Reviews
There should be processes in place to ensure every employee is evaluated on a regular schedule and the process is given just as much precedence as every-day operations. We believe that a review is about more than a raise. It’s about employees knowing whether or not they are meeting management’s expectations. Performance reviews should cover areas where the employee has excelled, as well as areas where the employee requires further work. Many companies tend to let performance evaluations fall by the wayside in the wake of our busy schedules and operational requirements. Prolific Solutions takes a proactive approach to performance evaluations, as it can only mean continued growth and direction for employees.
Training and Personnel Investment
As a product of performance reviews, goals and milestones should be set on an annual basis show management’s commitment to growth and direction in the career of the employee as well. By this we mean training seminars, certifications, dollars towards college credits or extended educational opportunities, security clearances, and so on – things that assert an interest in the career development of employees. Personnel investment not only fuels the fire for employees to excel in their work and within the Company, it also allows the Company itself to benefit from whatever training or certifications the employee chooses to pursue. What’s more, if investment in personnel is paired with performance reviews, management has the unique opportunity to drive their employees into milestones that will help the Company move in the direction management is steering towards.
